70 Years Experience In Automation Products, Controls & System Integration

Pneumatic Actuators

Standard Aluminum Pneumatic Actuators

Standard Aluminum Pneumatic Actuators

The aluminum housing is hard-coat anodized after machining. End caps are epoxy coated before assembly.
For severe environments, electroless nickel-coated body and end caps are optional. All fasteners are stainless
steel. and the pinion is electroless nickel-coated.z

Each actuator is fully tested and backed by a 2-year limited warranty.

Choose from eleven body sizes – tested to 2 million cycles – and torque from 30 lb•in at 40 psi to
37,903 lb•in at 120 psi. You get a better match to your valve and you won't have to pay for more
torque than you need.

  • ISO 5211 mounting interface and Namur solenoid and accessory dimensions allow easy interchangeability
  • Double acting and spring return use same body and end caps
  • Epoxy-coated, precompressed spring cartridges
  • Independent travel stops in both directions allow accurate valve alignment
  • Mechanically guided die cast aluminum pistons with low friction, non-metallic bearings
  • Extruded aluminum body with honed internal surfaces for low friction, high cycle life and precise piston fit
  • Precision machined gear teeth on piston racks and pinions
  • One-piece blowout resistant pinion can be used as a manual override
  • Unique travel indicator for easier visual check of open or closed position

316 Stainless Steel Female Shaft Pneumatic Actuator
Featuring Universal Flush Mounting

316 Stainless Steel Female Shaft Pneumatic Actuator

Female Shaft actuators incorporate several innovative mounting concepts to provide optimum flexibility for new and
replacement applications. Eight threaded mounting holes are used in the fully ISO 5211 compliant bolt pattern in
place of the standard four. These allow attachment of a Universal Mounting Plate to convert the actuator mounting
geometry to match that of nearly any valve. Oversized double square female shafting allows use of a Sleeve Adaptor
to match the valve shaft of the actuator. Both top and bottom sides of these actuators are identical so that either may
be used to drive the valve. Fail-open or fail-closed operation is achieved by choosing which side to use
the drive valve.

  • ISO 5211 mounting interface and Namur solenoid and accessory dimensions allow easy interchangeability
  • 100 millisecond cycle times with available enlarged air ports
  • Standard 180°F, 450°F with PEEK bushings and Viton o-rings
  • 316 SS to resist corrosion and to allow wash down
  • Submerge in or power with water without corrosion
  • Alternate piston sizes provide full torque as low as 20 PSIG
  • Rack and Pinion provides linear torque output and control capabilities
  • Offset cylinders eliminate wear-causing cantilever loads
  • Pistons travel outward to close eliminating opening ‘jump’ and allows end cap travel stop
  • Fully captured springs

Compact Size, Double Acting/Spring Return Actuator With Balanced 4-Piston Design

Compact Size, Double Acting/Spring Return Actuator With Balanced 4-Piston Design

The compact actuator transforms the linear motion of its pneumatic pistons into rotary motion via four gear racks
that drive the central piston. Air supply, to drive the pistons, flows into port A of the NAMUR cover: Port A is
connected to the center
chamber and Port B is connected to the four outside chambers.

  • ISO 9001 certification and ATEX 94-9-EC approved for use in potentially explosive areas
  • Superior corrosion resistance
  • Space saving, fast acting
  • Less air consumption
  • Balanced forces from position of pistons on separate axes rather than off-axis thrust
  • Nested springs
  • Less wear due to a uniform load distribution
  • Indicator and puck is highly visible with flow arrows
  • Double-square female drive on its bottom plane for accepting ISO 5211 or DIN 3337 couplings
  • Stop design allows for +/-5° of rotational adjustment in both directions of travel

Stainless Steel Weatherproof Enclosure

Stainless Steel Weatherproof Enclosure

The dome assembly offers a clean and economical alternative to untidy actuator assemblies
with a wide variety of options.

The actuator together with ancillary equipment is housed inside a spun stainless steel
weatherproof enclosure.

The assembly includes the coupling and bracket, allowing direct mounting to valves
with the international standard ISO 5211, British Standard, BS 5840 & DIN 3337.

  • Satisfies IP67 Requirements
  • Corrosion resistant
  • Dome enclosure can incorporate: 4-20 mA positioners, ASI interface cards,
multiple switches, and heaters to prevent condensation
  • Visual indication via LED or visually
  • Can be mounted on any quarter turn Ball, Butterfly, or Plug Valve
  • Size fits where other solutions cannot
  • High polish capability compatible with the sanitary “look” of any clean facility
